With the 2010 Budget now having been
presented and our members having had a little time to
reflect on its immediate impacts, we recognise for most
that there may need to be strategy change to again maximize
residential property investment returns; this month
we will be facilitating a panel discussion about what
needs to be done to do this. You are invited to submit
a pre-prepared question, case or discussion topic to
the panel for the panel to consider, answer or use to
form a template for the evening.
Again, we are pleased to have Jeff Owens,
director of Owens Tax Advisors Limited
www.owenstax.com, Craig Macalister, Tax Director
of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and possibly
someone from IRD participating on the panel; you will
remember Jeff and Craig delivered a presentation at
our April meeting, with focus on “Associated Persons
Rules.”
So if you have a question to ask about
the budget, its impact on you or you have a scenario
you would like to have a bit of informal advice on then
take this opportunity to submit your scenario/question
to the panel. Don’t be shy in doing so, only the
questions will be taken to the meeting all personal
information associated with it will be kept absolutely
private.
