| Speaker:
Cameron Bagrie & Paul Kos
At this meeting, we bring two technical subjects
together, both of which will have significant implications
for us as property investors in the Capital.
Firstly, we hear from the esteemed ANZ economists as
they gaze into their crystal balls to paint a picture
of our economy, and the property markets in particular,
into the coming months and years ahead. Have we stabilized
somewhat? Is this as bad as it gets? Or is this just
the eye of the storm until rising unemployment really
starts to impact the spending power of our tenants and
buyers? And what about interest rates… will there
be a respite from the relatively high longer term rates,
and will short term rates really remain low for as long
as Allan Bollard indicated in his recent announcement?
Secondly, a topic of terrific mystery to most of us…
Council planning! A Wellington City Council planner
will paint a picture of the council’s long-term
vision for our city, and the likely implications for
property investors. The Airport to Ngauranga corridor,
infill housing and urban intensification, the supply
of new land for residential development… these
are all topics that will influence the supply and demand
of real estate in our city, and therefore impact the
long-term results of our portfolios. This is also important
information when considering the best locations for
your strategic property purchases.
Come along and pick the brains of these experts, and
reap the rewards!
