| Speaker: Andrew King
Well, there is no denying that we are officially in
the trough! It’s almost certain that the June
quarter results will show that we are in a recession,
house sales are down dramatically, and business confidence
is low.
Up to 12 months ago, people were dreaming of the halcyon
days of a slow market, when things “used to be
so easy” because surely it was easier to “bag
a bargain back then”… well, here we are
again, without a doubt in a buyers’ market…
and is it all it’s cracked up to be for us investors?
Or does it bring a whole new set of challenges of its
own? Now that we are back to a buyers’ market,
are all you investors grinning with glee? Probably not…
well, not all, at least…
Andrew King has written three local best sellers on
property… “The Complete Guide To Residential
Property In New Zealand” which was awarded a premier
NZ Bestseller award in August 2004. His second book
was “Planning For property Success in New Zealand”,
and his third has just been released, appropriately
titled “How To Survive and Prosper in A Falling
Market”.
Andrew will be sharing his insights into how to do
well during this phase of the market, answering key
questions such as What exactly is a property trough,
what has happened in the past, what is likely to happen
this time and what are the ramifications for investors
